¡Hola! My name is Señora Cihlar. I teach Spanish to kindergarten, first and seventh grade students at Classical.
I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. As a little girl, I used to play “school” with my stuffed animals and dolls. I realized that I wanted to teach Spanish when I was a student at Appleton West High School with Señora Meidl! She and the other Spanish teachers there inspired me to continue studying Spanish through college and beyond. I have an undergraduate degree in Spanish and Bilingual Education from UW-Whitewater and a master’s degree in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Salamanca, Spain. I enjoy teaching Spanish because I love to see students improve and gain confidence in their ability to communicate in Spanish.
My hobbies include running,
cooking, camping, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
I live with my husband and our two children, Gabe and Rowan. We also
have a dog named Casey, who even understands a little bit of Spanish, too!
