Sara Schroeder
6th Grade Teacher

Mrs. Schroeder
Welcome to a new school year!  I am very excited to be teaching at such a fabulous school.  I have been teaching at Classical School since its inception, and I am looking forward to the years of teaching to come.

I was born and raised in Appleton, Wisconsin.  I attended Johnston Elementary, James Madison Middle School, and Appleton East High School.  I truly enjoy living in the Fox Valley area and am glad to be teaching here as well.

I graduated in 1999 from St. Norbert College in DePere, Wisconsin with a major in Elementary and Middle School Education.  I also have a minor in Mathematics and another in Adaptive Education.  I enjoy teaching all subjects, but I have to say math and science are my favorites.

My interests include golf, volleyball, and reading.  My favorite book is Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White.  However, Where the Red Fern Grows, by Wilson Rawls, comes in a close second.  One of my proudest golf moments came when I shot a hole-in-one at an Appleton East golf tournament.  I should probably go on to mention that I could have won a car, but I did not pay for my raffle ticket before my actual shot.  What a bummer!  It sure makes for an interesting story though.

In May of 2001, I married my high school sweetheart.  Brett and I met in elementary school and have always been great friends.  His mother was actually my preschool teacher, so our families go way back.  We are truly enjoying our lives together.

Brett and I have two children, William and Griffin.  William was born the winter of 2003, and Griffin was born the summer of 2007.

Here is a picture of me in third grade... a Junior Word Yahtzee champion!
