Stacey Foley
Grade 6 Teacher

Mrs. Foley
Welcome Back!!  I am very excited to start my sixth year at Classical School.  This is my tenth year teaching in the Appleton Area School District.  I have had so much fun teaching here at Classical School, and I cannot wait to embark on another year!

I am very familiar with this area as I grew up in Appleton, Wisconsin.  I began my schooling at Johnston Elementary School, moved on to Madison Middle School, and finished up at East High School in 1995.  I continued my education at Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota.  I am certified to teach Elementary and Middle School with a minor in Social Studies.  I am excited and lucky to say that I have had the opportunity to teach in all areas of my certification since coming to the Appleton Area School District.  I began my teaching career at Edison Elementary teaching 4th grade.  After two years of a wonderful experience I transferred to Madison Middle School.  There, I taught 8th grade United States History.  The third switch, and my most favorite, brought me here to Classical School.

Friends and family are very important to me, and I am very lucky to be surrounded by my family here in Appleton.  My husband, Ryan, our daughter, Ryley, and our dog, Bandit, enjoy spending time with our family and friends as much as possible during our free time.  Our favorite activities are walking, playing outside, boating, camping, and reading—Ryley is a VERY avid reader already!  We are a very active family, and we enjoy spending time with each other!

As you can see I am a very adventurous person who enjoys staying active!  Currently, I am the Girls’ Varsity Volleyball Coach at Appleton West High School.  I also am a coach and President/ Club Director for Appleton Excel Volleyball Club.  My other interests include playing volleyball and softball myself, reading (lots and lots of reading), outside activities, spending time with my family and friends, and exercise.  This will be my third year as Classical Schools’ Student Council Advisor.

As always, I look forward to another year here at Classical School, and I cannot wait to meet your son or daughter.  I could not ever imagine doing anything besides teaching, and I work very hard to try to do the best that I can for all my students and the students of this school.  This is a wonderful working and learning environment, and I feel lucky to be a part of it!
