Knowledge-a-thon 2010 Volunteers Needed

Hopefully, you are all aware that Knowledge-a-thon or KAT has begun. Your children have their Pledge Sheets and Questions, so I’m sure they’re studying.  Knowledge-a-thon Day is Friday April 23rd!

To make this event happen many volunteers are needed.  We have a small time frame in which to test our entire school (app. 460 students).  Volunteer training will start at 8:00am, with testing starting at 8:15 and hopefully wrapping up by 11:00a.m.  We need about 60 volunteers!  Parents and grandparents are encouraged to apply.

Testing Schedule    (times are approximate)
8:15:      K                              Syverson / Hernandez-Nagreen
8:35:      7th                           Crownhart / Nelson
8:55:      8th                           VanRyzin/Fischer (8th graders become testers)
9:25:      3rd  & 4th               Hoppe / Holcomb / Chen / Coenen
9:45:      5th & 6th              Schroeder / Foley / Tirimacco / Rivers
10:05    1st & 2nd             Osorio / Palomaki / Bomann / Campshure

If you want to test your own child/grandchild, have your child tell a KAT Host when his or her class comes to the Forum to be tested.

Volunteers, please show up by 8:00am in the Forum on Friday April 23rd.  There will be snacks and drinks for your consumption: coffee, juice, bottled water, pastries, fruit, popcorn, pretzels, etc… who can pass that up?
