Classical School Directory
Welcome! My name is Arielle McDonald and I am so blessed to continue my career at Classical School!
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point with degrees in Elementary Education and Teaching English as a Second Language, receiving cum laude honors in both areas. In addition, I also graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and received my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. I have been blessed to work with many students throughout the state completing two student teaching placements in the Appleton Area School District: Highlands Elementary and Classical School in 2014. I am so excited to be back and look forward to the start of the 2021-2022 school year as my eighth year at Classical!
I grew up in the Appleton Area School District attending Huntley Elementary, Einstein Middle, and graduated from Appleton North High School in 2009. As a senior in high school, I participated in the Co-op program which allowed me to spend my afternoons at Einstein middle school working in an eighth grade Math and English classroom. It was this experience that fostered in me a sound love for teaching and impacting the lives of students daily. Throughout my college career, I volunteered in the Stevens Point community as a tutor to local elementary students. I am very happy to be back in Appleton teaching in my home community.
My love for teaching goes beyond the school district and into the Appleton community. I have been a dance instructor in the community for the past thirteen years where I instruct students of all levels and abilities. I have been involved with dance since the age of thre, and plan to continue with it until my late years. Dance is an expressive art form which allows me to explore my creativity without words or paper. I also enjoy camping and spending time with my new husband and our dog, Nova.
Classical School is a great community of students, families, and staff. I am very excited to be a part of it! I look forward to what this year has to bring, and am anxiously waiting to meet all the new sixth graders for the 2021-2022 school year.
