My Current Newsletter

I was born and raised in Park Ridge, Illinois (Go Bears!) and attended Maine South High School where I graduated in 2010. I developed an interest in teaching early on, influenced by my middle school English and Science teachers and through my experiences leading up to the reception of my Eagle Scout award with the Boy Scouts of America; where I spent two years leading my troop and aiding in the training of adult leaders in cold weather camping.

I chose to attend college at Lawrence University where I graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in both Chemistry and History, with the intention to complete my teaching license in secondary education. I did my student teaching in 2015-16 at Appleton West in both chemistry and U.S. history. After receiving my teaching licenses in Chemistry, History, Science, and Social Studies I became a substitute teacher in the Appleton Area School District. This past year I also received a teaching license in Mathematics. I’m very excited to start my third year of teaching 7th/8th grade Math and Science at Classical this fall.

This summer I was part of a triathlon relay and taught summer school classes at Classical.

Some of my favorite books include: The Inheritance Series, Harry Potter, Ender’s Game, Common Sense, Locke’s Second Treatise on Government, The Federalist Papers, and The Power of One.

A few of my favorite movies include: Star Wars, Forrest Gump, Pleasantville, Across the Universe, and Marvel Movies.
