Welcome to a new school year! I am very blessed to be teaching at such a fabulous school. I have been teaching at Classical School since we opened our doors in 1999. For my first 15 years of teaching, I taught sixth grade, and this year will be my fifth year teaching fourth grade for my 20th year of teaching. I look forward to the years of teaching to come!
I was born and raised in Appleton, Wisconsin. I attended Johnston Elementary, James Madison Middle School, and Appleton East High School. I truly enjoy living in the Fox Valley area and am glad to be teaching here as well.
I graduated in 1999 from St. Norbert College in DePere, Wisconsin with a major in Elementary and Middle School Education. I also have a minor in Mathematics and another in Adaptive Education. I enjoy teaching all subjects, but I have to say math and science are my favorites.
In May of 2001, I married my high school sweetheart. Brett and I met in elementary school and have always been great friends. His mother was actually my preschool teacher, so our families go way back. We are truly enjoying our lives together. Brett and I have two children, William and Griffin. Will is a freshman at Appleton North, and Griffin is a sixth grader at Classical.
My interests include running and reading. My favorite children’s book is Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White. However, Where the Red Fern Grows, by Wilson Rawls, comes in a close second. Of course, I enjoy spending time with my family, and my boys sure keep me busy!
I am very passionate about my role as a teacher at Classical School. I am truly fond of our philosophy and curriculum. Our students are incredible, and I am honored to be part of such a fantastic school community. Enjoy the school year!
