Over the past 18 years, the Classical School Board has been an active and engaged Board of strong advocates for classical education and our school. There have been many changes in the materials we use to teach our curriculum, new subjects added, and numerous best practices implemented and developed in our classrooms. Upcoming Charter Fair & Informational Sessions

Classical School will be participating in a charter fair on Thursday, October 20, 2016, from 10 am to 1:30pm, at the Community Early Learning Center (CELC). The CELC is located at 313 S. State Street in Appleton. Please share this information with any families you know who may be interested in learning more about Classical School or other charter school options. Other participating schools include Appleton Public Montessori, Foster Elementary Charter School, Fox River Academy, and Appleton Bilingual School. Urban Myths I find the concept of “urban myths’ very interesting. These are stories and statements that are told and retold – without any sort of substantiation. They are frequently told by people with little or no actual experience with the situation they are commenting upon. As a person who is new to the school, I’m paying special attention to comments from people who opine about things being a certain way – either in “Classical Schools” or schools with “the Core Knowledge curriculum.” In some of these cases, they have been spoken by people who should know better.
