Notes from the CCSA Board
Posted on by Classical School
It’s hard to believe another academic year at Classical School has almost come and gone! The biggest news of this year was of course the interim leadership of Mr. Bomann. The CCSA Board is thrilled to announce that he will continue to serve as our Principal. Mr. Bomann will be missed by all in the classroom. As you know, Mr. Bomann is one of the many master teachers we are fortunate to have at Classical School. His expertise will be invaluable in searching for and mentoring teachers new to our school and classical education. Mr. Bomann takes great pride in being a lifelong learner. The Board is excited to work closely with him as he masters the knowledge and expertise necessary to be an exemplary school leader. We hope that the entire school community is as excited as we are about this next leg in the Classical School journey!
The CCSA Board wants to hear what you have on your mind before heading into strategic planning for the 2017-2018 academic year. The Board will conduct a listening session with staff on May 4th at 3:30. The Board will also be available to chat with parents during the International Fair on May 12th. Look for the CCSA Board booth. If you are unable to attend the fair, please feel free to call or email your feedback to CCSA Board President, Anne Tretinyak at #651-485-4804/ tretinyak@me.com. We look forward to hearing from you! The Strategic Plan can be found on our school website and the updated plan should be available to view mid-summer.
The CCSA Board is also pleased to announce that Raj Dugal will be joining the Board. Raj is the father of three students at Classical School, and is dedicated to our mission of providing a just and excellent education. The Board thanks Mr. Dugal for his willingness to serve and to jump right into our strategic planning process. We encourage all parents who are interested in serving on the CCSA Board to join a Board Committee next fall or to attend a Board meeting. Board meetings are an excellent way to learn more about the work of a charter school board.
Have a wonderful summer!
