Classical School Directory

As I enjoy my ninth year at Classical School, I realize more every day what a special place it is. The staff is amazing, and everyone I speak to about Classical has wonderful things to say. I strive to continue the tradition of providing students with an excellent education.
My family moved around a lot growing up giving me a broad range of experiences. Eventually, they settled in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, which I consider home. I attended high school at Northwestern Preparatory School in Watertown. After graduating from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota, I taught upper grades at a school in Hopkins, Michigan. Then I went back to school full-time at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City. The plan was to pursue a degree in chemical engineering, but I very soon realized that my true passion was for teaching. From there I taught intermediate grades in Port Orchard and later upper grades in Yakima, both in the beautiful state of Washington.
In 2010 I had the opportunity to move back to Wisconsin to teach 6th grade at Trinity Lutheran School in Neenah. I am happy to be back in my home state and love teaching middle school. Since 2014 I have been able to bring all of my experience and dedication to Classical. I couldn’t have asked for a better opportunity. I enjoy getting to know the students and families that make Classical a great place to teach and learn.
My wife and I enjoy living in Appleton and getting involved with the many great activities this area has to offer. We have five children, ages 3 to 23, and love spending time together as a family.
